Carbon and Phosphorus cycling in the Southeast Subtropical Pacific - results from the BIOSOPE cruise

We developed a method to measure dissolved inorganic carbon and phosphate uptake in the same sample:

We successfully applied this method in the southeast subtropical Pacific ocean during the BIOSOPE cruise:

We evaluated the role of phosphate availability in controling nitrogen fixation in the North, Southwest and Southeast Pacific ocean:
